A Corporate Finance specialist, turned CFO, turned CEO and then senior Executive in Amdocs. (Amdocs is a Nasdaq
listed multi-national software company with revenues exceeding $4.5B and 31,000 employees).
For 4 years I was CFO at O2 (Ireland) having been part of the IPO team that divested from BT Group as O2 Group.
O2 Ireland, (a mobile network operator), had revenues exceeding $800m and there I led the company finance,
regulatory and legal affairs, and the growth strategy functions as well as being Company Secretary.
Over 14 years as CEO, I led Openet Telecom, an Irish software company in the Telecoms space, to revenues
exceeding $120m (from $5m) and employing 800 people. In this time, I grew and evolved the management team to
support a global business with significant operations in the USA, Malaysia, Brazil and Canada. Our major customers
included AT&T, Verizon, Claro (America Moviles), Singtel unction Group, Bell Canada, Rogers, BT, Orange Group.
During this period, Openet won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year for Ireland and represented Ireland in the World
Finals and several other industry accolades. I also served as a Board member.
For 3 years post-acquisition and integration of Openet by Amdocs, I led the development and execution of the network growth strategy. This included consolidating different business units with more than 3,500 employees, developing brand and value propositions, and growing new revenues. This business unit had P&L responsibility of circa $1B when I left Amdocs.
n Openet and Amdocs, my principal roles included management of VC and PE shareholders and corporate office stakeholders, fund raising, strategy development, people development and commercial negotiations. In addition, I was advisor on matters including corporate M&A, investor relations and cultural development. My success was largely attributable to developing a high performance, values driven culture and developing senior management
talent.
